Moving....AGAIN!
So a quick recap, I have moved about 7 different times in my lifetime and I found out about two weeks ago that I am going to have to move....AGAIN! Since we are just renting a place I have a feeling this won't be the last time either. If I had the money and a job for that matter as well as the ability to drive, I would move out on my own already. It's not that bad of a place but I just wish we could finally just settle down and enjoy where we are at until either me or my brothers are ready to move out. Oh well, I can't change the fact so I am not going to stress over it. I will tell you more about it soon. I'll even post a picture of my new room-before and after soon. :)
Muse on work
So...after writing such a positive post on Quick Chek. I was fired from there on Friday, September 18, 2009. I decieded to write a letter to the manager that fired me. I feel I was wrongly fired. She said the reason I was fired was because I wasn't fast enough. What confuses me the most is everytime I worked I was praised from my work and how well I was doing. They would say that I was doing much better than several other people when they first started. I never recieved a warning that I need to improve my performance in anyway otherwise I was risking my job. It simply went from "You are doing great!" to "You are fired!". I was in total shock on friday. She also mentioned that they try to fire people within 30 days otherwise it goes on her record that she fired someone after 30 days without 3 write ups. She said that they know within 2 weeks if someone is going to work out. I technically was only there for about 10-12 days INCLUDING the days of training. Technically she didn't even give me two weeks. Even though I was in the system for the past 30 days I only worked AT MOST 2 weeks out of it. I also should have been at least been given a warning or something that I needed to improve. I had no idea that I needed to improve so when she asked me to come in for a meeting I wasn't expecting to be fired. I thought it was just a review after a month and maybe she would mention areas I needed to improve on and that is it. Anyways, I am working on looking for another job. I hope I get one soon! I REALLY need money!

This Blog....
This blog was just for a computer class homework assignment. It sounded interesting to do but at the same time I was also thinking "People still blog?!". So many people have their cellphones glued to their hips (I am one of them!) and have email and web browsers on them too (not me though) and little netbooks. Everyone is into instant gratification and instant this or that. Nobody just "stops to smell the roses" anymore. So for people to actually sit on a computer for however amount of time it takes to type their blog post seemed odd to me. Why waste your time typing something that might only be read by yourself? But I realized it doesn't matter who reads it but its the fact that there's a chance to be heard. A chance for you to voice your opinions. Maybe even a chance to change the world!.....Ok OK maybe that's a little drastic but you get the point.
What made me think of all this? Well it started the past day and a half. First, in my english class the other day we read this poem by Tony Hogland called America. And that was a real eye opener. Then today in my computer class we were asked to do the blog and I actually like it now. I think I might actually keep up with it. :) I mean I already have 4 posts! lol

Muse on work
I used to work at Gamestop. Due to the economy, I got laid off. It was a great job and had it for over 3 years. Now I work at Quick Chek. It isn't a bad job. There are long hours. You work for 8 hours nearly non-stop. There are some perks though. Here are a few perks:
~Paid breaks
-this is so you can help customers immediately if it gets busy without dealing with clocking in and out. I like it alot.
~After 4+ months you get:
-1 week paid vacation (after a year)
-If you are at least 21 you can get a 401 K retirement plan (after a year)
-full benifits (after 4 months)
-If you want to take a class in college having to do with bussiness or the equivalent Quick Chek will pay for it. (after a year)
So as you can see even after the long hours and dealing with your feet killing you, there are several benifits to working there. Quick Chek

Muse on weight lose
Last night I watched the TV show, The Biggest Loser. It was a great episode. I cried a few times. I can relate to a lot of it because I am overweight. I have tried several times to lose weight and I have finally found what works for me. What works for me may not work for you. I got these great theraputic shoes that are like those "Sketchers Shape-Ups" but they are $70 cheaper and work the same. They are very comfortable and you can find them at K-Mart. I have worn them the past 2 weeks and lost 10 pounds! I was so happy to see the scale go down little by little the past few days! :) One of my favorite websites that help with weight loss is Spark People. Check it out! It is FREE!
Music and Broadway
I love music. Music is everywhere. I like all kinds of music. A favorite of mine is Broadway music. I currently am majoring in theater/performing arts and would love to get on Broadway. My favorite Broadway shows are The Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid, and Rent. I have always loved Broadway music and shows. I always get excited watching the dancers and hearing the music. I hope to one day be on Broadways and make the audience feel the way I feel when I go to the show. I would recommend seeing a show even if you don't think you will like it. There are great prices on ticket master
